2025 was my first car buying experience without my father accompanying me (as I didn't want to drag him across the state to do it), as well as my first since 2018. I needed a new vehicle, since my previous one was on its way out, and a new car was an investment I decided to make to help my job search as a newly laid off writer.
It was at that time that my wife stumbled upon a Facebook post from a local town board, promising deals on a surplus of gas powered RAV-4s. That post was made by Stephen, one of the salespeople at Team Toyota, and it was what got me in the door for my eventual purchase.
In the course of an evening, I went from uncertain whether I was going to buy a car to trying to figure out which color/options package was for me. That was thanks to Stephen and his personable approach to exploring both what I was looking for and what I could afford.
After getting a rough idea, the nuts and bolts of sticker price, taxes and fees, and features were dug into. Throughout that process, I never felt hounded or badgered, but rather supported. Ultimately, it was a 2025 Corolla that I settled on, and before I knew it I was a Toyota owner.
Every step of the process, from Stephen's initial consult and continued contact to Rebecca's magic desk sized tablet of contracts, was easy and enjoyable. Even getting my license plates attached was a pleasant moment that really drove home I had made the right decision.
I'm not sure if I'll be trading this vehicle in within the next couple of years, or riding it into the ground. But what I AM sure of is that Team Toyota of Princeton will be my first choice for any potential future auto purchases. Car buyers of any experience level should feel safe in their hands.
