TLDR: Initial and final experience was great, some interpersonal issues arose but came out with a car that I was extremely happy with.
I came in knowing exactly what I wanted. Did some research, emailed for availability for the exact car, then walked in to get a good deal. This was my first car purchase so I was very transparent about that because I knew I was going to have a lot of questions. Rico was the salesperson I was working with and he went above and beyond to make sure I got a deal I was happy with. Before we could close on the deal I had some issues with my insurance that I was trying to iron out. Couldn’t figure it out that same day and to make a long story short, someone from the financing department thought I was arguing with Rico, which was not my intention (I quickly apologized to Rico), and approached me aggressively. Took me by surprise, made it known that this was inappropriate (the person doubled down) so I walked out because it left a sour taste in my mouth. The manager at the time, Fritz I believe, approached me and quickly apologized. Texted Rico to let him know I wanted to come by the next day, and he was very accommodating. Went in, talked with Rico, took the deal, and now I have a car I’m happy with. Shout out to Matt in the financing department who also helped me on the last leg of the process. All in all, I don’t want to point fingers or place blame for the situation that transpired because I know that these things can get complicated, especially if someone feels like they’re being wronged.
Do your research on what you want, ask for Rico, have a price in mind, and you’ll come out happy.
