The Toyota Safety Sense™ package is already available at an affordable price on most new Toyota models. By the end of next year, however, Toyota promises to make it standard on 25 out of 30 Toyota and Lexus nameplates.

The central feature of Toyota Safety Sense is the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system. This uses a camera and millimeter wave radar or lasers to scan the road and detect potential collisions before they occur.
